Just a short drive from Jerusalem and not far from the coastal cities is a gorgeously breathtaking region in the heartland of the country, with the Binyamin mountains at its center.

To the west – A forested area at high altitude, with flourishing towns and great lookout points of the coastal plain.

To the east – A lovely desert region where the Prat Stream rushes with gushing cool water all year round, on the way to the Dead Sea.

At the center – Between pastoral towns, Highway 60 weaves through the biblical path of the forefathers, which has been the central thoroughfare of the region for the past thousands of years for those traveling north and south of Jerusalem. On the sides of the road are the vineyards of the local prizewinning boutique wineries and at the very heart of the region – ancient Shiloh, the first capital city of Israel.

In addition to the bounty of biblical landmarks and historical sites dotting the area, there are various attractions suited for individual travelers, couples, families and groups. Among the many sightseeing options, you can find desert camping, artisan workshops, petting zoos, lookout points with breathtaking panoramic views, wine tasting at boutique wineries and more.
