Public Transportation - Binyamin Region:

There is an extensive system of public transportation in Binyamin that connects the Binyamin yishuvim with the nearby cities. Most of the bus lines travel to and from Jerusalem, Ariel, and Modiin.

Bus companies that provide service in Binyamin:

Egged Ta’avura runs in most of the Binyamin yishuvim, including those located along the length of Highway 60, east Binyamin yishuvim and west Binyamin yishuvim communities. For official website (Hebrew) click here

Public Transportation to the three sub-regions of Binyamin:

 

1. Central Binyamin:

Sha’ar Binyamin Bus Terminal:

Today, there are 18 different bus lines that enter and exit Sha’ar Binyamin to Jerusalem or to various yishuvim. These are their numbers:

One of these buses leave Sha’ar Binyamin for Jerusalem about every 7 minutes, arriving at either Ammunition Hill or Binyanei HaUmah. The buses reach yishuvim located in central Binyamin, including:

Beit El, Tel Zion, Kochav Yaakov, Adam, Psagot, Michmas, Rimonim, Kochav Hashachar, Ma’ale Efrayim, Ofra, Shiloh, Shvut Rachel, Neve Tzuf, Ateret, Ma’ale Levona, Eli, and Ariel.

The bus lines continue from the various yishuvim to Jerusalem, Ma’ale Adumim, Ma’ale Efrayim, Ariel, Modi’in, and Modi’in Illit.

 

2. East Binyamin:

Mitzpe Yericho

The main bus line is No. 216, which travels to Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem 15 times a day, in both directions. In addition, there is No. 22, which travels to Ma’ale Adumim 7 times a day, in both directions.

Kfar Adumim, Alon, Nofei Prat

The main bus line is No. 215, which travels to Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem 13 times a day, in both directions. In addition, there is No. 25, which travels to Ma’ale Adumim 4 times a day, in both directions.

Anatot

No. 149 reaches HaPisga Shopping Center in Pisgat Ze’ev, Jerusalem, 18 times a day, in both directions.

 

3. West Binyamin:

In the west Binyamin yishuvim, there are several active bus lines:

Nili and Na’aleh: No. 183 from Modi’in travels to and from these yishuvim 13 times a day, in each direction.

Dolev, Nerya, Talmon, Kerem Reim and Nachliel: No. 182 travels to and from Modi’in to these yishuvim 12 times a day, in each direction.

Central Bus Terminal in West Binyamin:

All of the bus lines of the Dolev-Talmonim bloc of yishuvim, and all of the bus lines of Neve Tzuf and Ateret, reach the entrance of Modi’in Illit, which serves as a central bus terminal for bus lines that reach the cities of Jerusalem, Elad, Bnei Brak, and more.
